Every morning, I embrace a healthy ritual by blending up a strawberry banana vanilla protein shake. It’s a great way to start the day with all the nutrients my body needs – fruit, protein, and even a sneaky vegetable. It’s true that adding a pinch of spinach blends right into the smoothie’s fruity flavor, so I love to top the smoothie off with a touch of greens when I have a little extra on hand.

Protein Powder

Naturally, protein powder should absolutely be included in your protein shake! Protein fuels your body for workouts, aids in your body’s workout recovery, and will help you feel full for longer. I also love how it makes smoothies thicker – like a milkshake consistency!

There are different types of protein powder for different diets (i.e. whey versus plant-based), but I don’t have any diet restrictions, so I just go with what tastes and feels best for me.

Fiber

Fiber is crucial to your digestive health, and it can easily be added into your protein shake through a powder. While you can incorporate fiber into your diet by eating certain foods, it can be difficult to maintain consistency and make sure you’re getting the right amount. A supplement can conveniently keep your system on track.

Biotin, Collagen, & More

Supplements like biotin and collagen are known for promoting the growth and health of skin, hair, and nails.
